What I believe about Art~

Art is form of conveying any type of emotion or feeling into a form of painting, sculpture or action. Art is the form of expressing one’s self into many forms; to indicate or show an audience what they really want people to know about them. They convey these feelings into broad and abstract actions, usually through painting and sculptures. To me I think that art means to express one’s self through weird actions of painting or sculpting.

                I think that art is a really strange and beautiful thing; this is because most artists convey their emotions or way of thinking into these weird pictures and sculptures…sometimes into things that I really have no clue about. I believe that art is found almost everywhere, this includes graffiti. Most people do not believe that graffiti is a form of art; most believe that it is only a form of vandalism; this is not true, art means to express your own feelings, it does exactly tell someone where they can convey these feelings.

                I think I have an artistic side to me, I can draw fairly well and I can somewhat express my feelings in a form of drawing and sculpting. I think of art as a form of release or form of comfort where we can leave our own minds and express what we really feel on a background or in sculpting… I sound really cheesy right now…I just realized that I talk like a girl… Though I sound cheesy and stuff, this I what I believe about art and I think that I will always stick with what I believe in.

                This is what I believe about art…I really cannot be creative with art because this is a really broad topic to talk about. Art is preformed in many ways and I really cannot explain all those forms into my blog and stuff…

What I believe about the Meaning of life~

Living life to the fullest, spending time with friends and family, raising children, getting jobs and experiencing all types of emotions is what we call life. Life is somewhat cruel at some points but most of the time it’s the happiest. When the question “What do you believe about the meaning of life?” pops out my answer to it is to live happily even in this cruel society. I believe that being happy and staying strong to live and prosper is the meaning to life (In a metaphoric way though.) I say this because life technically means: (www.dictionary.com)

-          .The condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objectsand dead organisms, being manifested by growth throughmetabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

-          The sum of the distinguishing phenomena of organisms, especiallymetabolism, growth, reproduction, and adaptation to environment.

-          The animate existence or period of animate existence of an individual

-          A corresponding state, existence, or principle of existence conceived of as belonging to the soul: eternal life.

-          The general or universal condition of human existence

Life actually has a lot to do about animals and the principles of having a functioning body; which is what it actually means but to me it does not. The meaning of life in my opinion is in a much more metaphorical term where the meaning is to live in this world to the fullest and happiest. I feel like I am a really really really optimistic person and I look at the happy side of the world instead of the bad. By doing so I create somewhat of a barrier that actually makes life for me bearable… You may ask what does a 16 year old know about having any hardships. Well believe me age does not start the time of hardships…Hardships can come at any age, some less as extreme when you grow older. I have a few hardships; trying to do hard in school so I can go to a good college, later getting into medical school and becoming a surgeon, having to please my parents, trying not to stress about school, getting a good score in the SAT, not making anyone mad….Wow, I actually have a lot and that is something not pleasing to my eyes.

This is what I believe about the meaning of life; I believe that it is to be who you want to be and live it to the fullest… It seems all my prompts for the past two months have been really really hard to explain but it was fun to write about it... though I can become random at some points…..ahahah, well that’s all folks…Than you for reading.

What I believe about Justice~

Have you ever read a story where a bad guy either takes over the world or robs a major business or banking industry? Have you ever read about how a(n) mysterious hero who donates to charity and helps out the poor pops out of nowhere and defeats the bad guy later bringing peace and justice to all of man-kind? Justice is something that most people define as when something or someone that has done wrong is either corrected or punished. By most people I include myself because that is what I believe about justice too; but I usually use it in context for superheroes and homicide detectives.

I believe that justice is the only thing that we hold after either being sullied, dirtied or killed; this reason is because after all these things, we usually hold HUGE grudges or fear for everything that had been done to us and we want to correct it. People are very very vengeful, they want to do what they believe is right and get  justice for what had happened…This is why they made jails and most importantly the death penalty. I am not saying that this is bad, it’s just that most of the time justice is implicated towards some people that didn’t even do wrong; I believe in the death penalty but in a much more lenient way of thinking.

I believe that justice is more defined when relating to superheroes and stuff like that because they face crime and problems almost every day of their lives. Superheroes are more likely to encounter dangers and wrong doings, which they believe that it is their responsibility to do what is right… Guess how it all started though? Most of the superheroes that were brought up either chose this life of saving lives out of revenge or they had a really sad childhood…Name one of the superheroes that did not have a sad childhood or wanted revenge. I also believe that justice is clearly found in most homicide detectives because they actually do something for the real world; they figure out who killed who and technically kill them later (death penalty, if the state allow it.) I put then in the hero category because they actually bring justice to this cruel world…well not as cruel just a world that needs to be improved more.

Justice is really hard to talk about because I still really do not understand it to and extreme point; the only justice I have encountered is when i get my stuff back or read it in the newspaper or something. As you may know I live on an island and there isn’t really much happening here; the only sort of crime we have is theft of money or things but that is it… My views of justice though are none the less different from other people; through the knowledge of books and movies and of course superheroes, I think I grasp the concept of what justice is.

What I believe about Truth~

Truth is defined as: (www.dictionary.com)

-          The quality or state of being true.

                 Truth is a very hard topic to talk about because I myself do not know what truth really is; to me truth means to not lie, to tell what really had happened and what is right. Truth is something that most people do not express of actually do; we as human beings are made to lie for many reasons. One reason we lie is because lying sometimes is better than telling the truth; another reason why we lie is because we want to avoid any possible harm that may come to us if we do tell the truth. Truth is also really hard to obtain from someone; as you may already know a lot of people lie and somehow this is sort of a trend that will never stop…sooo that is why truth is something that is hard to obtain.

I confess that I am not really a truthful person, but I do it for a good reason; usually I lie to people about the way they look and the way they act.  But usually half of those lies are actually true; for example, when someone says that they are ugly I tell them that they are pretty; it’s not a lie because they really are pretty, not particularly on that day but overall they are… ( I am referring to girls here because boys do not care at all about their looks.) Truth is very very hard to explain!!!!

Truth isn't always necessary at times too, having too much truth makes someone seem unlikable because they are way to bold and cannot hold in what they are saying. I believe that being both truthful and a liar is a good thing; someone needs to know when it is the right time to tell the truth and the right time to lie. By  knowing when is the right time I mean it; when something bad happens someone needs to speak up or things may get worse; when something you have heard and you have no right to bring it up you lie!! I sound like a really bad person now because I think that lying is acceptable…but when you think about it, statistically everyone lies and will lie in the future so what can you do about it. I just accept it and not complain about it because if I do them I would either be looked at as a completely retarded person or people will beat me up.

This is what I believe about truth; truth is where you speak up the correct actions that have occurred or do not lie but I do not believe that this should always be used. Lies are a part of life and sometimes they make people happy (when they never find out about it) and sometimes these lies later turn out to be true in the future… I think that truth should be the top priority for most people but lies should also be considered…what do I know, I’m a 16 year old girl that lives on an island…You really do not have to take my blog seriously because I said this and that. This is just my belief in truth. Truth is not always something that is good; nothing on this entire earth is completely good…Maybe food…or water…but like I said nothing is completely good. Truth is always something that most people want to here but do they need to hear it, do they really want to know what we think and what others think about a given topic… In my opinion I definitely would not.

How do I connect with others?~

Is it easy to connect with other people of is it really hard? To me I think that it is in between, it’s not too easy and it’s not too hard; you just have to find that person that you have in common with. The way I connect with people is always through things that we have in common, from the books we read, the people we know, the food we love and hate, and the things that we enjoy doing. An important aspect to have to really connect with people is to be a good friend and a good listener… When you do that you might one day find your true friends.

I think that I have a hard time to connect with people at some times because sometimes I really can’t relate to some of the things they talk about. I think that the only reason I connect well with people like that I because I am a really good listener. I have no problems at all when listening to people complain about things or explain things… I actually really enjoy listening to them.

Another way that I connect with people is through my wonderful (colorful) way of communicating them. I have a weird way of communicating with people, I use really messed up grammar ( like right now) and talk as loud as I can… Apparently this brings some sort of a happy mood to them…and the fact that I have a really bad sense of humor.

At time when I can relate with what they say that is when I can really connect with people. Another thing is when I find a person that is almost exactly like me.. (MY SOPHIA)… This prompt is really hard to explain because I really have no idea how to connect with people… I just do some random stuff and then bam… we are friends!

Look is more important that having ideas. Disagree of Agree?

Succeeding in something takes hard work and great ideas; the way you look has a little part of being successful but overall having the ideas is most important. People may think that looks are all that matter in being successful and I believe that this fact is correct, people these days are much more concentrated on the way that people look like. Though through all of that I believe (my opinion) on this is that people with the better ideas are more likely to have a successful life.

Ideas are what makes society so advanced, without the ideas of people like Steve Jobs, Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison there would not be these cool technology today.  Judging people by the way they look is not really the most logical way into finding people to do a good job; I mean having nicely dressed people will bring a lot of respect to the company or person but what would you rather choose, someone with the ideas or some useless person who can’t do anything but look nice. If there was a combination of the two then that would be the greatest find for a company of some sort.

I really do not know anything about fashion and things like that; as you may already know, I am more interested in things like sports or games or creations of some sorts; I  will dress nicely for important jobs but most of the time I think I will be wearing a uniform (I want to become a surgeon.) This prompt was really not my type of prompt that I would like to talk about but I do know one thing, people with ideas should be respected for what they do… Thank you~

Moving around or staying at one place?~

Growing up in a island I have always asked this question; “Is it better to live in one city or town than to move from one place to another?” I believe that it is better to stay at one place then decide whether you want to move around; living on Saipan for 16 years have made me realized that moving all the time would make things too hard. Constantly being the new person in a place that you hardly know, trying to find new friends later leaving them and trying to fit in is too much of a hassle for most people…. Or just for me…

I think that it is better to live in one place because moving around will not help strengthen bonds between friends. Friends are a sort of comfort place that you go to because of overbearing parents or parents that do not listen to you at all. By staying in one location your friendship towards a certain friend strengthens even though you would have never talked to that person ever. In my case that was the exact thing…My dad was to be station somewhere in Alaska for his job and I was really excited about it, he declined the offer and took the offer to stay on Saipan; I wasn’t really happy about his decision because I really wanted to move. I never regretted that day he said no because if we did move, I would have never met the wonderful friends that I have now, my bond between my friends have increased through the years and I do not plan on moving yet.

Another reason why I think that it is better for someone to stay in one place is because you would miss the beauty of the place that you once lived at. I live on an island, a totally different atmosphere than in America where the sky is always a bright blue and the sea is a beautiful deep blue. You would never really get to know your surrounding if you continue to move around a lot… The hassle of packing, moving, unpacking and doing the whole process again sounds pretty tiring to me too.

I think that it is way better to stay at one place than to move around all the time; my opinion on this thing doesn’t have to be your answer, it’s your choice in what is better. You do not need to take this blog seriously is you agree otherwise… Thank You~

Happiness~

Happiness is defined as: (www.dictionary.com)

pleasure, joy, exhilaration, bliss, contentedness, delight,enjoyment, satisfaction. Happiness, bliss, contentment, felicity implyan active or passive state of pleasure or pleasurable satisfaction.Happiness results from the possession or attainment of what oneconsiders good: the happiness of visiting one's family. Bliss is unalloyedhappiness or supreme delight: the bliss of perfect companionship.Contentment is a peaceful kind of happiness in which one restswithout desires, even though every wish may not have been gratified:contentment in one's surroundings. Felicity is a formal word forhappiness of an especially fortunate or intense kind: to wish a youngcouple felicity in life.

To me happiness means to be joyful and excited; where nothing in the entire world could ruin you happy mood.  Happiness is one of those emotions in which everyone can obtain easily; though at some points it can be really hard. Happiness is easily obtainable when you really try; even the littlest of things that have no significance at all can bring you some kind of joy. Happiness can be found with the people you love or enjoy being with; happiness can also be obtained through sayings and sayings. Just the memory behind those things can bring someone’s bad day into a good day.

I am generally a happy person and stay happy even through times that seem unhappy; I someone how block all those bad thoughts and see the brighter side of things, and if that isn’t possible I think of things I enjoy. Being unhappy is a really painful emotion; the sudden strain of the heart and the stress your brain takes is not enjoyable either.  To stay happy I always reminisce in the times where everything was happy, my childhood for example, and silently laugh to myself.

Happiness is something that everyone feels once in a while and it’s a great feeling; happiness can be found in almost everything; the first teddy bear your parents got you, the songs that you and your friends dance to, and even the celebrities that you adore (JAMES AND DAVID FRANCO!!!!!!!!!!) By finding the happy things in life instead of the stressful and saddening ones you can truly find happiness… Thank You!

Beneficial Book~

All my life I have always enjoyed reading books; the excitements that I obtain from them are impossible to explain. I have read over 100 books this year on every genre and ever size (usually 200-500 pages) and I think that this prompt would be really hard to talk about. Out of all the books that I have read in my life I think that “The Good Earth” by Pearl S. Buck has greatly impacted my perspective on things and has benefited me in all kinds of ways.

                I read the book “The Good Earth” my freshman year for my literature class; we were assigned to read it by my teacher and once I had read the book I felt that it had changed my view and perspective on most things. Being a classical book it had impacted my view on other classical books; the book had made me much more interested into reading other classical books. Over the three years since I have read the book I have read Huckleberry Finn, The Great Gatsby, Fahrenheit 45, The Things They Carried, Kite Runner and Native Son. Just because of that one book, it had opened my eyes to a new ‘world’ where adventures of every sort happen in your mind.

                The Good Earth was a really good book and I do recommend to some people that it would change your perspectives on books like these. Not only is this book interesting, it also brings out some of your emotions, mostly anger, which is a plus because books like these are really hard to find. So, if you ever see “The Good Earth” is your local book store try and read it; it may not be the ‘fun’ to read at first but once you get into the book then you will enjoy it.

                I really really really love to read books; I do not know what got me started with the reading but once I started I never stopped. I have read all types of books; thriller, horror, tragedy, romance, adventure, ect. And I can tell you this, I never regretted reading them. I think once I start college I won’t read as much books as I want to but I will still find time for that… Thank You~

Three Characteristics of a True Friend~

                Friends are people that we think of as important or part of our family; friends are the people that we have the most fun with. Though this is the correct way of defining friends; what does it mean to have a true friend? Today’s prompt want me to tell three characteristics on what is a true friend; this is really easy prompt for me to answer because I think know what characteristics a true friend has.

                I have my fair share of friends and best friends, many of which were horrible people; I cannot say that I am proud of some of my decisions but for most of them I am totally happy with. I have had only a few people that I can call my true friends; now we get into the part where I describe the characteristics of who is a true friend. True friend are the people that are okay with your “weirdness” and also embrace their inner “weirdness;” the second characteristic is when they act like they are actually related to you and the last characteristic is that they will always be with you in any event that may occur.

                             I believe that having friends that are as weird as you truly defines them as a true friend; I myself am extremely obnoxious at some points and my friends do not care. Having someone that is as equally as weird as you means that you and your friend are really compatible. The second characteristic (when they act like they are actually related to you) may be one of the most important traits that a true friend has because, when someone acts like they are related to you, they know you. Having such a close relationship towards someone like that surely makes you think that they are your true friends. The last of all the traits is that they will always be there in any event that may occur; one would know for sure that the person is really your true friend because normal friends would be too awkward to even do that.

                Thought his was an easy topic to do I still have trouble writing this because I am a really bad blogger and it is really hard to write only three characteristics and stuff?  I am happy that I have my true friends and all sooooooooooooooooooo……………….. yep that’s it….thank you.

Human's Greatest Strength~

                Humans have multiple strengths and many weak points; but the greatest strength that we human beings have is “Hope” and “Faith.”  Faith and hope seem to be the greatest strengths that I can thin off because hope is the only thing that we human being hold close to us; it seems to be the only thing that keeps us to continue on with our lives.

                 Faith and hope are such strong emotions that human beings house; where these feelings emerge in dire time or when something is strongly prayed for. I myself hold a lot of hope and faith in myself, my family, and my future; this is because there is nothing else I can do but have faith and hope towards them. The world is a cruel place and some unfortunate events happens once in a while; hope for a better future and faith in yourself is the only thing that most humans can rely on to keep going one.  Fate is something that is always unexpected and may cause a great deal of fear to many of us; by having faith and hope, life would continue on and face it like a man.

                This topic is really hard to explain because I really have no clue what may be human’s greatest strength.  To me I think that hope and faith are the greatest strength that we humans carry with us. Personally I have a lot of hope for certain things and I have a lot of faith for a lot of things; without these I think that I would live my days in fear, be alone, and have a really boring life. I have a lot of hope towards my future; graduating college, becoming a doctor, getting married, and later die from natural causes. These hopes for the future keep me on track and make my life an adventure.

                When I think about it, these strengths much more likely applies towards me because I am the one writing it. It not really easy writing something like this and my answer is not really valid so please excuse this if you do not agree…This is my own opinion towards wheat is human’s greatest strength....sooooo..... Thank you very much.

Bigger Schools or Smaller Schools?~

Saipan International School (currently attending)

                Reality begins when a child experiences their first day of school; from preschool to college, an important factor about it is the education and also the size. Having huge amounts of students attending one school is quite intimidating to some children; big schools are always intimidating when you go there for the first time but for me it is sometimes quite intimidating. I am really fond of attending small school because it is not only small but it is way easier to talk to people and teachers than at a big school.

                I have attended a small school for 5 years now and I really enjoy it; I am really close with my teacher and there is no need to remember over a thousand names. I think that smaller schools are better than bigger schools is because of the fact that at smaller schools everyone knows who is who. I have also attended a bigger school for about 6 years (elementary school); I am not saying that it was a bad school because it was big; I’m just saying that it wasn't  as fun as someone would think it would be. For the past 20 blogs; you might already now that I am a nerd and all I do is study my ass off. When I attended that big school I really did not learn anything at all through those years; I remember my 6^th grade class like it was yesterday; my teacher had just quit for a stupid reason and there was no other teacher that was willing to become our new teacher. The school assigned one of the office ladies to teach our class on everything we were supposed to learn that year; apparently we didn't even go that far and didn't learn anything at all.

                I think that those are the only reasons why I prefer smaller schools; if you were me, you’d understand that big school are quite intimidating to someone like me. I do not think that the big schools here are even counted as big schools; the biggest amount of students in one school is about 800 students… I come from an island called Saipan (GOOGLE IT) and we are not big in anything…we might be known for our big eaters and stuff but nothing else is bigger. Small schools to me seem to be much more comfortable for me when I realize it; students have an easier time talking to other students and teachers. Smaller schools enable students to participate much more in educational activities and for sure will listen on what is going on in class.

                I prefer smaller schools than bigger schools; I have no problems going to a bigger school (because for sure college is going to be massive), it’s just that I feel more comfortable in a smaller school. Being in a smaller school might not work out for other people but to me I think that it is working out just fine. Please do not take this seriously; this is my own opinion towards what size of school I  prefer to go to… thank you

What would I teach my children?~

                Children are the pride and joy for most parents; having children may be a challenge at most parts but it’s all worth the work. When I grow up I do plan on having children, I prefer to have one but I could go for a two if I wanted to. I would like to have a boy as the eldest and younger girl; this is because I think that I can handle boys way better than I can handle a girl (and the fact that boys have fewer problems to deal with). When I do plan on giving birth to a child, there is always a set of rules that most parents have to make to keep the family sane.

                When I do have a child the main point that I want them to understand is to always respect your elders, no matter what they do or what they say; they may defend themselves when extreme cases happen because some people are crazy. Respect towards an elder is something that my family has been practicing for their entire lives; my family is strict when it comes to respect, if we do not follow we are punished.  Respect is an important thing today in society because most people are quite rude when you think about it; I do not want my children running around disrespecting people for no good reasons. I think that being respectful is a must and my children will be respectful, if they aren't then I have other ways to do so (Military school, church school, anything that will make them respectful).

                Another thing that I would teach my children is to work hard; my parents have always told me that if I wanted to succeed in life I would work harder on the things that I want to accomplish. By teaching me that skill I am confident that if I continue, I will surely achieve my goal. I want my children to learn how to work hard so I will do that. The next thing that I want to teach my children is to never, ever, ever in the entire millennium is to get pregnant or be pregnant before 20. I am against unplanned teen pregnancies; I am 16 and I have raised 3 of my younger cousins (that are now 5, 10 and 11) and I call tell you this, having to take care of a baby is hell. The constant need to be feed, changed and played with is tiring for a teenager and it’s not fun; the yelling, screaming crying, grabbing, hitting, and touching is insane. I do not mean that I do not want a child it is that they are hard to take care of, so if my children want kids, they have to prepare themselves for it.

                Those are the top three teachings that I will teach my children or child in the future; I am still 16 I do not plan on giving birth until I graduate from college and medical school.  Planning on what to teach my children at this age is pretty hard so this is all I can say… Thank you.

Should SIS have Uniforms?~

Saipan International School (SIS) is the one of the two private schools on Saipan that does not require students to wear uniforms. I believe that SIS should not have uniforms because having to wear one type of clothing is very dull and constricting. Saipan International School already has a dress code where students have a set of rule on what type of clothing they should wear and what type is appropriate.              

I do not really know the main reason I do not like having to wear a uniform; I have experienced about 2 years of wearing a uniform and I can say it is not really a pleasant thing to wear. I think one of the reasons why I do not like to wear uniforms is because of the material they are made out of. I live on an island with only two seasons, rainy season and dry season; Saipan is located near the equator so one would know that it’s really hot and humid here. Most uniforms are made out of cotton or some sort of heavy duty material, making it really uncomfortable to wear because it intakes so much heat. I mean we could find another material that is light and comfortable but then we would have to customize it, ship it (Usually it takes about a month or so for big shipments) and then sell them off. Saipan is pretty fair from America, the closest people we can get to is Asia, but they also make really heavy duty uniforms.

Another reason why I do not like uniforms is because that we would have to wear it every day; students usually have 2-3 sets of uniforms and have to constantly wash them for the next school day. I find it a hassle that I have to wash my uniforms almost every day because we need it for the next school day; not only is washing a hassle but if the uniform has a solid color, the color fades. I think that having to wear regular clothing is much easier than uniform because I do not need to constantly wash the same shirt and jeans for the next school day. Another thing about casual clothing is that I could choose the type of pants I want to wear; I know for a fact that most uniforms for girls require a skirt and I do not like to wear skirts. I hate the fact that once a strong gust of wind comes your skirt shows the whole world your underwear. I like the fact that I can alternate between jeans and shorts…I am not really someone that likes to wear girly cloths; I prefer wearing shorts or jeans and a sweat shirt.

Those are the reason why I do not want SIS to have uniforms; I have worn a uniform for two years and those were not the happiest years of my life. I swear that uniform made me feel 3 times uglier and 3 times fatter; the material was awful, I had to wear an ugly green shirt that was made out of the thickest cotton I have ever seen in my life. I was happy I had the choice to wear khakis instead of skirt but the khakis were extremely uncomfortable and ugly too… I do not want to have uniform not, I am happy with the strict dress code that we have at SIS and I hope it will stay the same for a long time…

If I could bring someone back from the dead, who would it be and what would I serve for dinner?~

People come and people go, most of them in tragedies; if I were to bring someone back from the dead, I would surely bring back my uncle James. My uncle James is the oldest child on my mother’s side and the only male in the family; he was a well respected police officer and a great brother, father and uncle to his family. It was almost the end of January when he had passed, two or three days before his twin children’s birthday; he had been hit by a drunk driver.

I would bring my uncle back from the dead because he is the closest family member that I have that has passed; when he had died everyone in my mother’s side and his wife had mourned for about a month.  He had treated all his nieces and nephews as his own children, numbering about 6 children he had thought of as children (Including his own). If I was to have him back, alive, and served him dinner, I think that I would definitely go crazy and buy everything that he loves. I really do not remember the food that he loved to eat because it’s been about 6-7 years since he had died, soooooooo, I will just buy everything he wants.

After he had eaten his dinner, I would most likely have him talk to his family again because a year after his death, his entire family moved to Oregon. I really miss my twin cousins, they were born 17 days after my birth, January 20; I see them as my own sister and brother, because we were soooo close. When my uncle is alive, I know for sure that my cousins will return, my family members would be happy and everyone would live in harmony.

I know that this will never happen; his death came so fast, he went out to drive and once you know it, BAM, he is gone from the world. I vividly remember the day I was informed of his death. I was about 7 or 8 years old, I was playing with my younger cousin Katherine; we were running around the house and managed to find ourselves in the kitchen. My dad had just barged into the kitchen, his face full of distress; he went up to us and said “Hats, your uncle James had just died.” I looked at him with disbelief and then laughed at him, my cousin later following my actions; I told him to stop playing around and tell us the truth, not believing a word that he had said. He looked at us with a serious face and told us again “No Hatsuko, your uncle James is dead; he was in a car accident and didn't survive.” I looked at him in utter horror as I slowly took in what he had said; he slowly left the house to discuss what had happened to my family members. Katherine and I stood in the kitchen, wide eyed and mouths wide open; the tears slowly came out as we finally realized that my uncle had just died. We feel to the ground and cried as hard as we could, slowly reminding ourselves about how we loved him. Death is something that everyone hates, I know for a fact that I hate it; death is also another cause of ill thinking.

If I were to bring someone back from the dead, I will indeed choose to bring my uncle back; he did not deserve to die, it was the fault of the stupid teenager girl that went driving after getting drunk…

Computer Games~

Computer games have always been a source of entertainment to many people, and they are indeed fun; deciding whether it is a waste of time and should be removed is an easy question to answer. I believe that it is waste of time, but I disagree that it should be removed; I myself believe that computer games are something that should not be removed because IT”S FUN; having to remove something that brings happiness and joy to other people is not really a wise decision.

Though I think that computer games are indeed fun and should not be removed, I still believe that it is a waste of time. Computer games do in fact keep people from doing other things; this is because when someone is playing a computer game, they get to “into it” and do not realize that they spend every waking day playing and playing. I play my fair share of computer games, and being me, I realized that I spend too much wasted time just staring at a screen playing mindlessly without a care in the world. I think of myself as a really active person, so when I realize that I spend almost all my day playing computer games than playing sports, I go crazy.

I think that the point that most people waste time playing computer games is the reason why some people want to get rid of it. I think that it does waste time but getting rid of it is too extreme; the question is, what is you do have time to waster? I usually have some time to do anything I want, because either, I do not have any sports and I finished all my homework. When I want to waste time, or when I am extremely bored, the only option for me is to either read of play computer games. I am a normal teenager and I do not like to read all the time; so the one thing that I do is play computer games; I mean they are really really really fun.

So, I believe that computer games are waste of time, but I do not believe that people should get rid of it. Video games are another source of entertainment and when something as fun as computer games disappear, a lot of people will not be happy. I think that computer game companies would be extremely unhappy about the decision, gamers would be unhappy, children would be unhappy and I sure would not be happy when they remove computer games. People can make the excuse that computer games are made to rot one’s mind, but doesn't everything do that; technology today is also another tool that helps ‘rot’ the brain. The television, the cell phones, everything is bad; by getting rid of computer games, nothing will change that fact that there is more out there that is indeed worse. This is my opinion, sooooooo…..don’t judge me….

Computer games are really fun you just have to find the right one because if you play a computer game that you do not think is interesting, why play anyway? Just try it and if you do not like computer games and agree that it is a waste of time then you can just totally forget about what I wrote on the previous paragraphs… Thank You~

Define Beauty~

Beauty is defined as: (google it)

1.      A combination of qualities that pleases the intellect or moral sense.

2.      A beautiful or pleasing thing or person, in particular.

3.      The pleasing or attractive features of something.

Beauty to me is defined as being breathtaking and eye catching, through one’s appearance and/or for one’s personality. To explain the word is really difficult for me, because this is my own perspective in what the word means to me. The majority of people today use the word beauty to describe someone’s appearance; I’m not saying that I disagree with this because that is what beauty is defined as, being attractive, I just believe in something different.

I believe that beauty is something that you find in a person, by getting to know someone you find the beauty they have personality wise. I know that this definition is pretty cheesy, but when you think about it, that’s the only way you kind find beauty. People these days have an alternative into becoming beautiful; usually self conscious about their appearance, they go get plastic surgery. (I am not against plastic surgery; you wanna change you appearance, go ahead, no one will stop you.) The fact that most people can get their face changed makes it really hard to find the true meaning of beauty. Everyone is getting really pretty these days and when everyone is pretty, how will beauty be defined later on. As I stated before, I think define beauty in both ways of appearance and personality; one can find a really attractive person, but when that attractive person has a really great personality then the word beauty can be used in that context.

Beauty can be used in many ways when you think about it; it’s not only used to describe people, but it is also used to describe things such as scenery and/or object that catch people’s eyes in a good way. When looking at something such as a sunset, field of flowers, art or pictures the first thing that people think about is “WOW, that’s pretty.” I think that this is a really good way to describe beauty because, it’s not judgmental towards anyone and come on, sunsets, flowers and art is pretty nice.

This prompt was really hard to do because I am not really good at defining anything; I usually go with the translation on dictionary.com. I do understand the deeper meaning behind in but I think that it is easier for me to just know the word. When I finally experience or see the true meaning of the word then I’ll change my mind. My definitions are really cheesy too when I think about it; I know that my girly thought are cheesy, but hey, it’s what I believe in and that’s what I’ll believe in until otherwise.
